With the health and human resource crisis growing across Canada, the Michener Institute was looking for innovative ways to train respiratory therapists to meet growing demand. Working with Lumeto, the team implemented a groundbreaking VR solution that places students directly in the patient’s room, allowing them to interact and provide treatment similar to a real patient.
We sat down with program leaders and students to understand the impact before developing a narrative that showcased the technology in action. To share their story, we produced a compelling video that highlights the immersive training experience and its results: 50% of learners reported increased confidence in emergency cases, 63% found VR more engaging than traditional learning, and instructional assessment scores improved by 40%.
